Liza is a passionate owner and creative force behind Liza Olivia Photography, a boutique portrait brand specializing in family and high school senior portraits. Known for her warm, personalized approach, Liza crafts heirloom-quality wall art and albums that celebrate connection and preserve memories for generations.
Born and raised in Chicago, Liza’s journey into photography began at age ten when her father gifted her first camera—igniting a lifelong love for storytelling through the lens. She nurtured that passion with numerous photography courses throughout high school and college, eventually training under the renowned Sarah Petty and the Photography Business Institute.
A proud 12-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Liza earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and was commissioned through the ROTC program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Her husband, Jarod, recently retired after 25 years of service in the USAF. Together, they’ve built a beautiful life and family, raising five incredible children: Diana, Elayna, twins Alex and Alissia, and their youngest, Mark.
Whether capturing a senior’s bold spirit or the unbreakable bond of a family, Liza brings heart, vision, and a deep sense of purpose to every session.
